Gregg propp

Director and Lecturer, University of Virginia ASL Program

 

Greg is a “coda.” Originally from Nebraska, his parents were leaders in Deaf education and ASL instruction.  Greg has taught ASL for over three decades and has been at the University of Virginia since 2000, moving into a full-time ASL teaching position in 2007 and Director since 2015.  Greg has a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He teaches all levels of ASL, a class examining Disability Law and Deaf People, and a coda literature course.  Greg presented at Gallaudet University’s 150th Anniversary Symposium in 2014 on coda memoirs, the coda experience, and how it may have shaped Edward Miner Gallaudet’s leadership.
